The great intuition was to bring the griffes of Italian fashion to the perfume sector.
In 1978, the first licensing agreement for Renato Balestra perfumes was signed, followed in 1981 by a worldwide production and distribution agreement for Trussardi perfumes. The Trussardi fragrances produced by ICR were a perfect innovative mix, and enjoyed considerable international success.
In 1988 other major names arrived: Romeo Gigli signed a distribution
agreement with ICR for Italy, Germany and Austria; Gianni Versace signed an international joint venture agreement with ICR for the development, production, marketing and distribution of Versace perfumes.
In 1996, ICR reached an international licensing agreement with the young
Roman stylist Gai Mattiolo, confirming its mission of spreading "made in
Italy" perfumes in select and prestigious markets all over the world.
